      Melanie Dyer

Just fifteen years old, Melanie lives with her parents and two sisters on a farm at Mount Russell near the Northern NSW town of Inverell, where her father’s family have farmed for generations.  Melanie started singing in talent quests and attended the Tamworth Camerata in 2006 and 2007 before being selected, at only thirteen, for the Talent Development Project run by NSW Education Department.

In 2006 and 2007 she performed solo on the School Spectacular at The Sydney Entertainment Centre, singing her own song, Life On The Land in 2007 which won the Australian Children’s Music Foundation song-writing competition, in 2007. While Melanie is blessed with a unique and lovely voice, she is also dedicated to learning her craft as a songwriter and guitarist. This country girl is a serious young artist who lights up any stage and has an amazing future ahead of her.
